It’s always fun being out there, doing what I can, when I can. I caught a lot of balls on Sunday, that’s what I’m here to do. It felt good to be out there, clicking with the quarterbacks, fitting into the system.
“I feel like I’m really getting the playbook down, which is a good thing. It’s really just about being cautious about my knee, taking care of it, fighting through some soreness. Some days I feel good, some days I don’t. No new story there. I’m just enjoying it as much as I can, getting out there and playing.
“The first preseason game was cool, just seeing all of the fans, feeling the intensity out there. It was obviously my first taste of being out there in the game experience. It was fun being on the sideline watching those guys play full speed. Out here in practice you sort of go through the motions sometimes, you don’t give it your all, but once you have your adrenaline going during game time you see the true character in guys and how they can really come out and play.
“I feel like I have something to prove, and it’s even more when you get into the game situation. Being on the sideline I was still doing some footwork drills. It’s definitely tough, but I know my time’s going to come and I’m going to be prepared mentally and physically.
“Baltimore will be my first away game as an NFL player, so it’s going to be fun. Time to go out there and shine, do what you can, and hopefully I’ll get to play.
