In practice, I mostly go up against Chris (Houston). Now that we’re starting to do more special teams stuff we go against the 2’s. I always get some good work in with Chris out there. It goes both ways. We both get good work from each other. We’re benefitting from it so it’s good.
Chris getting hurt did affect us last year. In my opinion, he’s the top corner we got out there. Speed, being physical, tackling, creating turnovers – he did a good job with that last year. I expect to see more of the same, if not more, out of him this year.
As far as the new guys, I look forward to seeing Bentley out there. He’s coming off a good performance last week. He dropped an interception but he’s just going to get better. It’s good for him to get his feet wet.
When it comes to the corners, I talk to the young fellas a lot. We talk constantly throughout practice, in the film room, wherever it may be. We’re here all day so it’s non-stop conversation about going up against each other.
